I have been talking incessantly about winter and it’s finally here, all the winter outfit is ready! From leather jacket, turtle neck tops to funky boots. They’re ready! Marc Jacobs showcased it’s Spring/Summer collection and it’s perfection!

Location: Singapore
Wearing / Aldo booties, romper from JC, belt from Topshop, Prada Bag

Originally, our plan is head straight to Bali from Dubai, however when given the option to do a stopover in Singapore, the beau and I didn’t think twice because we both have friends who lives in the Garden City.

It was five years ago when I last visited the country and I remember feeling so safe. The place is clean and organized, I would say it’s like a tiny and greener Dubai. It is also very cosmopolitan.

Winter Must-have
Wearing | Maxmara Camel Jumpsuit, Tory Burch Firenza Sandals, Mango earrings, Chloe sunnies

When you think of winter, you think of boots, chic mid-length and buttonless camel coats. The idea of strolling around town with a flowy coat,  thigh high boots, oversized scarf and coffee in one hand excites the fashionistas in all of us. Imagine all the cool snaps you’ll produce right? Well, unless you’ve just moved to the UAE,  you wouldn’t know that winter here is a bit different, it’s cold and warm depending on how you are exposed to the sun, in short, it is not cold enough for us to be sporting 10 pieces of clothing at once. This means that a pure lightweight material enough to keep us warm is called for. And I absolutely adore this V-neck Maxmara camel-hair jumpsuit which is perfect for the upcoming weather, other than it is thick enough to keep you warm, the color and design is also very versatile. Wear sneakers and or high heels with it, the material is so classy that it adapts to the occasion like a chameleon.

Something Juicy
Wearing | Juicy Couture Watch, Pedro bag and shoes, Gap top and Deborah Henning skirt

With the rise of modern technology, time can no longer just be checked on your wrist but also on your hand or lap through mobile phones and laptops. And for this reason, it seems as if a wrist watch is so old-fashioned and thus can be considered obsolete. However for someone like me who appreciates a great time piece, I have rounded up a few reasons why  it is definitely not a thing of the past.

First, watches are classy, glancing at your watch compared to checking your phone everytime can easily demonstrate that. Second, it’s functional, during the 19th century, watches were first used by the military to synchronize maneuvers during war, obviously it last longer than your phone battery, you can have two to three extra batts but why go to that extent if you can be both stylish and savvy. And speaking of style, I have a thing with a great time piece in gold, there’s something classy about it and it’s always impossible to resist similar to what I’m wearing on the photo from Juicy Couture.

Location| Waldorf Astoria Hotel Ras Al Khaimah
Wearing | OTT cover up, Chloe sunnies, Straw bag from Conrad Maldives, swimsuit from Shopbop

Living in the UAE has made me learn to adjust both my beliefs and the clothes I wear, whilst there are many places that allow non-Muslims like me to wear bikini like hotels and around beach areas, it’s still necessary to respect and cover up whenever you can and this is to avoid making Muslim guest or tourist uncomfortable. This means a good and comfy cover up can come in handy. This OTT yellow cover up is both so boho and funky at the same time. Taking boho chic to another level.

Location: Jumeirah Beach Hotel
Wearing | bebe Jumpsuit, Chloe Sunnies, Charming Charlie Earrings, Sandals from Stuart Weitzman

I am always drawn to chic and contemporary fashion. And when Bebe approached me to partner up with the brand, I exclaimed ‘of course!’ The brand has given me the opportunity to check their latest pieces and to wear some of my favorites whilst on a day out. I chose this jumpsuit as it’s perfect for brunch or a casual coffee catch up with friends. It’s comfortable, classy and versatile.

Prior to working with the brand however, other than I’m already a fan, I knew little about the brand’s history so I took some time to learn about it. It’s important to me that whatever brand I promote is aligned with TSG’s core values. Going back to my ‘research’ I found some exciting things about the brand.

The first Bebe boutique  opened on 1976 in San Francisco and it was done by Bebe’s Chairman and Founder Manny Mashouf. At that time, recognizing a demographic that was neither junior nor bridge, manny created the first contemporary fashion brand. Over 35 years later, Bebe has established itself as one of the world’s top fashion retailers.

If you raid my wardrobe and this is not known to many other than my two cats, you’ll know that I have an affinity towards silk dressing gowns, bed sheets and pretty much anything with silk material. If for some, what it takes to have a good night sleep is a cup of tea or instrumental music, for me, however, it is the soft velvety feeling of a silk clothing. And It’s always thrilling to find pieces that has the same amount of comfort yet perfect to be worn outdoors like this Whistles ensemble. And for those who loves the brand, it’s time to celebrate as the first Whistles store has opened its doors in City Walk Dubai.

When it comes to good genes, I think they all went straight to my hair and left my skin behind. Kidding.

I get compliments a lot about my hair so when asked me to share my top tips for Haircare, I did not hesitate and I’ve listed them down.

Every woman has unique hair, and how to deal with it requires a serious strategy. Day-to-day care is very important of course, but personally, I have a routine down so I can always make sure my look is voluminous, sexy, and natural. It’s so important to know which products are the best for your hair type, especially in Dubai. The weather is so extreme and the humidity can make a good hair day change instantly. These are my top tips for avoiding any fly-aways, frizz, and any other hair troubles:

  1. I struggle constantly with avoiding an oily scalp. No matter how many times I wash my hair, the heat can make fresh hair turn oily super quick. The solution for me has always been to utilize hair colouring, as the process dries the hair. Most hair colouring products contain a mild ammonia, making the hair dry. Plus, using hair colour balances the oil giving the hair extra volume for a fierce look.
  1. Since my hairstyle is currently an ombre dye- it requires a bit of maintenance. However, ombre is a stylish and relatively easy way to do something new with your hair. By choosing an ombre colour, you reduce the amount of times you have to touch up your roots or colour your whole head. Excessive colouring can damage the hair and result in terrible split-ends. Ombre hair minimizing, plus it works well for Dubai with the beach lifestyle. The best part too is you can always colour your hair more if you feel like going full blonde, and not have to always have to do it right away.
