A new theory claims that time does not move forward, but rather, everything in time is ever-present. And my experience from roaming around Vigan City can support that, it is like reliving the past.

Dubbed the new 7 wonders of city in the world, I went to check this historical place. Having spent the whole afternoon sight seeing, it is still not enough to articulate my experience and impression of the place, overall I can say that it is tilted to the positive side. I’ve taken photos of this lovely city for everyone to see.

The best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia is found in the historic town of Vigan. It is located in the northeastern part of Luzon (Philippines) . It was founded as a trading town in 1572 by the Spanish conquistador Juan de Salcedo. What makes Vigan unique is the concentration of Hispanic influence (with Asian details) period houses perhaps unmatched anywhere else in the country.

  1. Ode to Horace Mann
Be ashamed to die until you have won some
victory for humanity. – Horace Mann

Be aware that energy is life, save some for your kids.
Be afraid that our minds are bent by news, not books.
Be awed by the healing power of the simple purple cone flower.
Be awake before the bombs drop, before the money rules.
Be agile: live in a town that walks and bikes to work and play.
Be amused by ants and birds, goats and potato fields, lilacs and sycamores.
Be angry only long enough to solve the problem, then move on.
Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity.
